History

Our club started life as the 'Markham Camera Club' on 24th March 1981. The members converted some buildings at the Markham Main Colliery site into a meeting room and a darkroom. Following the closure of the pit, the club moved to the Mainline Sports and Social Club on North Bridge, Doncaster . They boasted an excellent club room, studio and a darkroom. However, the Mainline Club closed in 2002, so the club had to move to the Rockingham Arms for a couple of years, then onto our current venue, The Railway in 2004.
